RSS (most commonly expanded as Really Simple Syndication) is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works—such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video—in a standardized format. It's an easiest way to get news updates of a website or web application. Most of the time we are trying to get updates by visiting popular websites. But all news and updates are not important as well as interesting for everyone. That's why RSS feed provides a nice option for us to read only the headlines and brief of recent web updates. There a lot of RSS reader around internet and all of them are absolutely free.
